Roma women win 6-5 at Sassuolo!

Incredible: the female Rome, already Italian champions, beat Sassuolo 6-5 away. This is only the second match in which two teams score at least five goals each in the women’s Serie A in the three points per win era (since 1995/96): the only previous one was on 27 January 2001 in Gravina Catania-AGSM Verona 5-5. An incredible show with 11 goals and the debut of the youngest ever in Serie A: Giulia Galli, 16 years, one month and 8 days. Roma ended the first half 3-1 with goals from Giacinti (a brace) and Giugliano. Then everything happens: Glionna makes it 4-1, Sassuolo wakes up and scores three goals in two minutes with Kullashi, Clelland and Monterubbiano. Everything seems geared towards 5-5, then in the 80th minute Laura Feiersinger scores Roma’s sixth goal which closes the (crazy) match.
