ANCONA – The Yellow Cross of Ancona will be among the protagonists of the traditional San Ciriaco Fair scheduled from 1 to 4 May. The president Alberto Caporalini will in fact receive the silver Ciriachino from the hands of the mayor Daniele Silvetti for 41 years of activity as a volunteer and 23 as president of the association. Awards that will also go to Enrico Curina for 50 years of volunteering with the Yellow Cross, as well as Claudio Comirato and Giovanni Frittelli for saving the life of a person who fell ill inside the house on the evening of 9 June 2023. The awards will be presented on the evening of May 4th at 7pm in Piazza del Papa.
Also on May 4th, this time in Piazza Diaz, there will be the traditional tombola of San Ciriaco, an event organized by the Yellow Cross of Ancona and presented by Roberto Cardinali. The tombola will have a value of 1500 euros, the five tombola 300, 200 euros for the quadruplet while the terno will be awarded 150 euros. Prize money which was partly subsidized by the Piazza Diaz 7 ice cream bar in Ancona and by the Eni Cafè in via della Montagnola, as well as by Grafiche Ripesi. Yellow Cross staff present at the fair who will sell bingo cards.
Before the draw, scheduled for 7pm, there will be a ceremony for the inauguration of a new ambulance donated by Olga Fofi from Ancona, and which will be made available to the 118 operations centre. A latest generation vehicle equipped with every comfort and healthcare equipment. Croce Gialla of Ancona which during the fair will manage a series of health posts along the route with the involvement of over 80 volunteers. An enormous commitment which will see the partial participation of other public assistance bodies in the area, for a Fair where over 100,000 people are expected.
