That he has become, in just a few months, the most loved general and, at the same time, also the most hated by Italians is not said by us, but by the thousands of comments on social media that one day and the next also comment on him at every turn driven, evangelically speaking, thoughts, words, works and omissions. He, however, does not bat an eyelid and carries on without hesitation, strong in his convictions and in the real, concrete support of his supporters scattered almost everywhere in this damned and ruined boot. After his second appointment at the Casa del Boia in via dei Bacchettoni in Lucca, Roberto Vannacci, fresh candidate for the next European elections in the ranks of Matteo Salvini’s League, will once again visit the city where he lives, Viareggio, to present, Monday 6 May at 6pm at the Esplanade hotel his book Courage wins published by Piemme.
Francesco Becciani, owner of the hotel a stone’s throw from the Passeggiata and the sea, wanted to host for the second time in a few months the division general who was already the author of the famous reverse world which produced so much controversy and just as many sales in its first year of life not yet completed given that it was released in early August 2023. It’s a book, Courage wins, which tells the biography of a general who started from nothing or almost nothing, who grew up in Paris in a lower middle class family imbued, however, with traditional values starting with the very strong one of feeling profoundly Italian at heart. After an introduction by Massimiliano Simoni of Artitaly who follows Vannacci as a friend, collaborator and former comrade, the (ir)responsible director of the Gazzette will interview the author of the book, ranging from its contents to the political controversies of recent days.
Roberto Vannacci was very keen to return to his Viareggio, the city where he lives with his family and where every day or almost, he runs on the beach breathing deeply the sea air soaked in iodine.
