The agent of the Lecce midfielder Remi OudinSylvain Chavanon, spoke to the microphones of Sportitalia to talk about his future: “Rémi can do well in any championship. I was rather surprised that he didn’t play more last season, especially at the beginning. He is a special player and coaches generally need time to understand how to use it. But once they do it, it never leaves the field.”
He has played many roles, always with quality. Where convinces you the most?
“He has played most of his career on the right wing, but in my opinion he is more useful to the team in the center of the pitch. He can play behind the striker and score goals, but also provide assists acting as a central midfielder, so for me both roles are good for him.”
What convinced him to choose Lecce two years ago?
“Rémi was ready to play abroad and wanted to experience a new championship. Lecce’s interest arrived immediately after the promotion because Corvino already wanted to sign him at Fiorentina. So he had time to ask for information on the league, club and city. The financial part was difficult to resolve, but both clubs and Rémi in the end made an effort and he managed to arrive.”
After the good season he’s having, do you think bigger teams might be interested in a player of his quality next summer? Does anyone follow him, if they can tell us?
“Such interests exist but I can’t say much about them. I can only tell you that his performances have not gone unnoticed, especially in Italy.”
If important offers arrive, do you think Lecce will want to keep him for next year? What goals do you have for your future?
“A lot can happen during a transfer window, it always depends on many factors, so you never know. The main factor would be, as always, the amount of the offer. Then there should be a discussion between us and Lecce to make a decision.”
What goals do you have for the future?
“Rémi is 100% focused on helping secure Lecce’s place in Serie A next season. Then we’ll see what happens.”
