The earth continues to shake in the Naples area. In the last twenty-four hours, approximately 50 tremors have been recorded in the Campi Flegrei. This was noted by Engv. Fear after the swarm at Campi Flegrei
The seismographs of the Vesuvian Observatory recorded a seismic swarm made up of dozens of telluric events that began at 7.44 pm last night. Most of the tremors detected were just over 1 degree of magnitude, the largest was 2 degrees. The epicenter was located between the municipality of Pozzuoli and the Neapolitan district of Bagnoli. A security summit met in the prefecture of Naples to take stock of the situation in light of the seismic events recorded in the last 48 hours in the Campi Flegrei and Vesuvius. Present, in addition to the mayors and the Prefect, were the Regional Civil Protection, the ASL Napoli 1, the ASL Napoli 2 Nord, the police forces and the Vesuvian Observatory. The rise of bradyseism has been 23.5 cm since January 2023 with the speed which, as director Mauro Di Vito declared to Il Mattino, has slowed down in the last ten days.
