The MAR – Art Museum of the city of Ravenna on the occasion of First of MayLabor Day, will remain open to the public from 10am to 7pm with all the art collections and with Sebastião Salgado’s exhibition Exodus – Humanity on the move curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado.
To delve deeper into the themes of the exhibition, a series of events are planned guided tours at 4.30pm, Wednesday 1 May, Saturday and Sunday (reservations required 0544 482477).

Sunday 5 May from 3.30pm the students of “Giuseppe Verdi” State Conservatory from Ravenna will perform a series of songs inspired by the continents photographed by Sebastião Salgado. Concerts are part of the program “Exodus: Echoes from the World”five Sundays in which music offers visitors new stimuli inspired by various places in the world.
The program of the first appointment includes JB, Singeleeé, Premiere Quatour; A. Piazzolla, Libertango; N. Rota, The farewell catwalk performed by the Saxsophone Quartet composed of Francesco Albertazzi, Federica Paoli, Riccardo Tramonti, Nicolò Zinzani.

For children and their families Saturday 4 May at 4pm a special meeting Movement, rhythm and pace. A journey divided into a short guided tour of the permanent collection of contemporary mosaics at MAR, followed by a creative graphic workshop where participants will create their own collage work starting from the suggestions received at the exhibition. Each child will build their own path of feelings by testing their imagination and abstraction skills. The activity is recommended for children aged 5 to 11 years.

In addition to the MAR Collections and the Exodus – Humanity on the move exhibition Drawing the mosaic is scheduled until June 2nd. The Signorin family cartoon collectionedited by Giovanni Gardini. The exhibition brings together numerous cartoons for the mosaic made by Renato Signorini and his workshop which are part of the archive that the heirs wanted to donate to the State Academy of Fine Arts of Ravenna, of which Renato Signorini was first a student, then a teacher, finally director of the Mosaic School from 1934 to 1976.
