A fight between sisters in Catania ended with baseball bats and then stabbings. A story that emerged when a woman showed up at the emergency room of San Marco Hospital with stab wounds. The Volante police identified the victim, a 23-year-old from Catania, who had stab wounds to her right and left biceps, as well as various wounds to her right forearm and lower abdomen.

The confession

While the police were talking to the victim to try to understand what happened, a phone call came to the Police Headquarters Operations Room from a woman who declared that the injured woman was her sister and that it was she, at the height of a violent argument, who the perpetrator of the stabbing and of having immediately thrown the knife into a flowerbed. At that point other patrols intervened in the home of the latter, a 47-year-old from Catania, who was immediately blocked. Based on the information provided by her, the officers then found the knife in a flowerbed.

The reasons for the dispute

The police found that an argument broke out in the street between the two sisters, who were on bad terms with each other. In particular, the injured woman first attempted to run over her sister and then hit her with a baseball bat. At that point, after a series of insults, the sister allegedly took out a kitchen knife, took it with her and struck the other woman several times with several blows, wounding her in several places. The woman who committed the stabbing was arrested for aggravated assault. The magistrate ordered the woman under house arrest.
