First and fifth place for the two representatives of Unicusano Livorno Rugby under 10 in the very successful ‘Città di Livorno’ tournamentwhich, for the category, was valid for the thirteenth edition of the Alessandro Bernini Memorial, the deceased green and white rugby playerat not even 25 years old, inthe summer of 2009. The presence, not only at the awards ceremonies, of the parents and sister of the unforgettable second line was significant. The tournament reserved for under 10s was of a high level. In the initial round, the Unicusano Livorno ‘BV’ team beat Gispi Prato 6-0 (each goal a point), Vasari Arezzo ‘1’ 7-1, 7 -0 to Gispi Prato and 5-0 to Vasari ‘2’. Then successes in the semi-final 4-1 against Bellaria Pontedera and in the final, 3-2, against the Formigine Highlanders. For the Unicusano ‘Verde’ team, in succession, success against Olbia 5-1, defeat against the Highlanders 1-5, victory against Bellaria 3-2 and success against Gispi 5-1. The ‘home’ athlete Leonardo Cecconi earned the title of best under 10 player of the tournament. Finals commented with live commentary, on the pitch, fromthe champion from Livorno, former captain of the national team, Andrea De Rossthe. Very satisfied with the responses received also in this event, held at home, the directors appearcoaches-educators Rocco Montanaro, Federico Guidi, Federica Muzi And Daniele Aspromonti.
