Perugia, Rimini will have your turn in the playoffs

PERUGIA Emanuele Troise’s surprising Rimini will be Perugia’s opponent next Saturday. In the first round of the group playoffs the Romagna torpedoed Gubbio at home with a goal from Cernigoi in the 85th minute, earning the right to challenge the Formisano griffins on Saturday at the Curi (kick-off, to be made official probably this morning, 8pm ,30) in one-off competition.

Meanwhile, since yesterday the griffins have been trotting in the Cascia retreat, reached by bus in the morning before taking a room at the Grand Hotel Elite. And in the afternoon, thanks also to the respite granted by the bad weather, there was the first training session in Valnerina under the orders of Formisano and staff. In addition to the injured Viti and Polizzi who remained at home, the two limping Angella and Seghetti did not take part in the session.

The central defender in particular should return to work in the group today, while the situation of the attacker is more uncertain, as he is struggling with a back problem. Formisano hopes to be able to bring both at least to the bench, on the other hand in “in or out” games you just have to grit your teeth and respond well knowing that the smallest detail could prove decisive. No problem for Adamonis and Paz, who overcame their respective ailments. For today and tomorrow there will be a double session accessible to the public and it cannot be ruled out that (weather conditions permitting) some fans may also pop out around Cascia, with the finishing behind closed doors on Friday before returning to the city for Saturday evening’s match. Training? It’s too early to say that Perugia will be closer in attitude to the one that began the Neapolitan coach’s return to command than the one that ended the season experimenting and giving space and minutes to the entire squad.
