Two defeats for the Provincial Representatives of the FIGC of Grosseto Giovanissimi 2010 and Allievi 2008 away against the same age groups from the province of Arezzo, in the Tournament of the Provinces organized by the Regional Committee of the FIGC. On May 1st he will be back on the field in Siena.

Grosseto: The first two matches of the first round were played on Sunday, of the Regional event organized by the Tuscan committee of the FIGC chaired by Paolo Mangini and called “XXXIII’ Tuscany Trophy” and the of the Provincial Representatives on the Lucignano sports facility, where the FIGC Representatives of the Province of Grosseto were engaged against the same age groups of the Arezzo Delegation.

The starting commitment for the Grosseto Representatives was not the easiest, given that in our province there are very few clubs that participate in the regional championships unlike the other Delegations which many teams participate in the Regionals and also in the Elite championships.

This preamble was necessary not so much to make excuses, but for the sake of information which unfortunately has always been the reality. Let’s now come to the results of the matches; the 2010 Giovanissimi Representative, entrusted to the “care” of Walter Trentini, was defeated 3-0 by a team from Arezzo who deserved the victory but, it was too heavy a deficit for the Grosseto players given that the match was for the first twenty minutes very balanced, then in a restart they conceded the first goal and the end of the half saw the Grosseto players often move forward in search of an equalizer which did not arrive. In the first minutes of the second half a penalty kick cut off the legs of Trentini’s kids who, despite everything, continued to play, created some chances, even hit a post and conceded the third goal on the counterattack.

Another match, however, was that of the 2008 Allievi of the selector Pietro Magro, who in the last few hours were missing twelve players from four clubs which are the most popular in the province, given that the respective clubs were involved in very important matches for their respective championships. .

The 2008 Student Representative played, despite everything, a good match with Magro who put the team on the field well, filling all areas of the pitch and playing on par against the most esteemed opponents and on some occasions even better, then conceding to ten minutes from the end a daring goal after an irregular bounce of the ball that mocked the goalkeeper. In the final minutes with the whole team moving forward looking for an equaliser, which would have been very fair, they conceded the 2-0 goal on a restart. A clearly mocking result and despite the defeat, well done Pietro Magro and all his boys.

These are the scores of the two matches starting with the Giovanissimi 2010; Provincial Representative Arezzo-Provincial Representative Grosseto 3-0.
