ASL Viterbo, the 2024 edition of the ‘Donate to donate’ competition presented

Over 1000 students and 14 schools from all over Tuscia participating in the 2024 edition of the “Donate to donate” competition, promoted by the Donation and Health Education volunteering table of the Viterbo Local Health Authority, which will take place Thursday 23 May, at 5.30 pm, at the oratory theater of the parish of Saints Valentine and Hilary in Viterbo which Don Emanuele and Bishop Piazza willingly put together for this laudable initiative aimed at promoting the message of organ donation among the student population of primary and lower secondary schools of the Viterbo area. The projects, works and communication tools presented fully interpret the message linked to the donation. They are a precious support for the voluntary associations that operate in the Tuscia area, also because, through the work of the children, it is possible to spread and extend the promotion of organ and tissue donation to their families and their communities. It is a duty to thank all the schools that participated, the managers, the teachers and all the students. Without them, the prize would have no reason to exist.”

During the awards ceremony, the works of the students from the participating schools will be exhibited: Santa Maria del Paradiso in Viterbo; Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, with the Vignanello and Vallerano groups; Franciscan Sisters of Civita Castellana; Pio Fedi, Vitorchiano, Celleno and Grotte Santo Stefano complexes; Anna Molinaro groups of Golfarelli, Mosse and Zepponami; Alessandro Manzoni from Montefiascone; Monks, complexes of Soriano nel Cimino and Gallese; Saint Lucia Filippini of Montefiascone. For a total of 1072 children who participated.

During the conference, the 2024 edition of “Mach 4 Live“, the Admo national information and awareness campaign which will see the Viterbo association involved in the pursuit of a single objective: to enroll new potential donors in the Italian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (IBMDR), to give life expectancy to all patients in waiting for transplant.
