In total, 77 investigations were carried out through the installation of photo traps and on reports received by this Command.
These operations are part of the checks on the territory which saw the Local Police of Andria refer 4 citizens to the Judicial Authority, in violation of Law no. 137/2023, for the crimes of illicit combustion of waste and emission of gas and fumes capable of causing offense to people.
Furthermore, 19 sanctions were imposed in violation of Union Ordinance no. 359 of 12/29/22 which integrates the previous Union Ordinance n. 560 of 11/29/2017 which provides for a fine of 166.70 euros for incorrect disposal and 500 euros for abandoning waste.
The environment and its health are fundamental to the very health of the organisms that inhabit it. Health and the environment are two important and connected factors. They constitute an inseparable combination. Environmental damage also causes serious damage to health, safeguarding the environment means protecting public health.
These investigations are part of the concrete response that the Local Police of Andria, through the specialist and territorial units, provides in the fight against and repression of environmental crimes and in the municipal territory.
