The first appointment of the workshop “L’Ape FA…Urban Guerrilla.. drawing and learning to…” took place yesterday, organized by Tandem Aps as partner of the “Cantieri sociali Art’è” project of the APS A31-20Futuro Anteriore . Kindly hosted in the spaces of Villa Giulia, some of the children who attend the socio-educational centre, together with the students of the IV “Don Pasquale Uva” Educational Club and the I “Edmondo De Amicis” Educational Club of Bisceglie, enthusiastically participated in the coordinated activities by the art master Enzo Abascià, in collaboration with the beekeeper Manuela Graziani and with the participation of the contents creator Enrika Bouchet.
The proposed workshop started the young artists on a learning journey about the magical world of bees, with the aim of raising pupils’ awareness of environmental issues in an inclusive way, developing a sense of group and a sense of responsibility towards others and nature, starting with the recognition of differences and their value on a human and environmental level. And it is from these reflections that the children were asked to start by transforming what they had learned about bees and their importance in relation to the entire ecosystem into colorful drawings.
The participants, through a simple and immediate methodology, learned to recognize a bee from other similar insects, the vital functions of living animal and plant organisms, learning new terms and discovering the similarities between the different roles that bees cover in the hive and many daily aspects of human life.
The beautiful drawings made by the children will then be processed by Enzo Abascià into a poster which will be exhibited in various places in Bisceglie in the next few days.
The workshops organized by Tandem Aps as part of “Cantieri sociali Artè” will continue in the next few days with meetings in other neighboring cities. Furthermore, at the end of the course, the students who wish will be welcomed into an integrated apiary: wooden architecture that will allow the children, in complete safety, to gain visual contiguity with the bees in the hives and to deepen what they have previously learned in the field.
