The Consumers’ Association Codacons Latina, through its Provincial President Antonio Formiconi, dealt with a matter concerning a telephone dispute with the operator TELECOM ITALIA SPA, in the person of the lrpt, for a Latina company which had requested the activation of seven BUSINESS telephone lines, including a landline and Internet.
Subsequently, the Company formalized the move to another telephone operator but the Telephony Company continued to invoice consumption; in this regard, the Company sent several complaints by certified email to the Customer Service of TELECOM ITALIA SPA, in the person of the lrpt, without ever receiving any response.
At this point, the Company turned to the Consumers’ Association CODACONSLATINA in order to resolve the aforementioned problem, since subsequently TELECOM ITALIA SPA continued to invoice telephone consumption for a service never enjoyed and used, so much so as to push the same Association to present formal complaint without having resolved anything.
Subsequently, the same Consumer Association filed a conciliation request with CORECOM LAZIO (Mandatory Conciliation Table for telephone disputes) where, however, no agreement was reached and the procedure ended with a negative conciliation report.
Then, the Consumers’ Association filed a request for Settlement with CORECOM LAZIO (the higher hierarchical body) against TELECOM ITALIA SPA and while the proceedings were pending, before the conciliation meeting was set, the Company TELECOM ITALIA SPA, following of the filing of defense briefs and replies, granted the termination and/or contractual termination of all telephone utilities, with relief and/or cancellation of payment invoices which remained unpaid and unpaid.
The Consumers’ Association accepted the aforementioned settlement proposal at the conciliation meeting set by CORECOM LAZIO and the proceeding was completely resolved, including the controversial issue that arose.
