Hellas Verona

The seizure of Verona Calcio shares has been lifted. The club itself announced this in a note published on its website which states that “on 26 April 2024, the Bologna Prosecutor’s Office ordered the revocation of the preventive seizure of the entire shareholding of the Hellas Verona FC spa company and the consequent return of the shareholding to the entitled person in Maurizio Setti’s Star Ball spa”. “The revocation of the preventive seizure – we read again in the Verona communication – is consequent to the fulfillment of the conditions for the closure of the H23 bankruptcy, following the agreements concluded between Maurizio Setti’s companies and the Delta, Lonestar and Santa Benessere companies”.
This is certainly reassuring news and gives the team the right morale to face this evening’s match at the Olimpico against Lazio. More generally, the end of the championship now coming to an end will be able to be faced by the players coached by Baroni with the right serenity, especially as Hellas has recently recovered a lot of ground in the standings, after an certainly not brilliant start, climbing back to three points on the ‘Udinese, third to last team in the championship, equal on points with Empoli and Frosinone who however have already played the thirty-fourth matchday by winning last night against Salernitana.

Returning to the club’s communication, the note relating to the release of the shares concludes with Maurizio Setti and his companies who “also thank the pool of their lawyers (Vittorio Manes of Bologna, Fabio Lattanzi of Rome, Nicola Avanzi and Paolo Pasetto of Verona) for the effective defense carried out in the precautionary criminal proceedings, now concluded with the revocation of the preventive seizure”.
