For a few days the Station Gardens in Piazza Garibaldi have been hosting a new open-air exhibition. After the giant luminous snails that colored the area in recent months, now it’s the turn of the creations of Corrado Bonomi.

Bonomi’s Cultures in the station gardens

Bonomi, an eclectic artist from Novara with a particular sensitivity for the most current themes, has prepared a truly particular “floral” themed exhibition for his city: giant flowers made with materials such as watering cans, water hoses, garden nets and much more other. An installation that becomes a tribute to nature and the entire planet.

The new cultural project for Piazza Garibaldi inaugurated last April 22nd is entitled “Culture” and, promoted by the Solart association, will color and animate the gardens of the station until July 19th.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we propose the installation of six Culture vases by Corrado Bonomi in Piazza Garibaldi. We have supported the ironic and provocative work of this artist for years and these works will not only enrich the artistic fabric of our city, but will also promote values ecological and creative recycling. The inauguration, which took place on 22 April, on the occasion of World Earth Day, also underlines our commitment to stimulating critical reflection on the use of materials, public spaces and environmental sustainability through art “, he declares Giuseppe BarberaCEO Zenit Group and President of the Solart Cultural Association.

“I am happy to be able to bring my cultures to the vibrant Piazza Garibaldi, a place of passage and meeting. This project represents an extraordinary opportunity to explore the connection between art, urban spaces, nature and sustainability. With Culture I want to stimulate a visual dialogue between the plant world and the creative recycling of plastic materials from gardening, inviting the public to reflect on our relationship with the environment and the transformative potential of art. I hope that this installation inspires and involves the community, promoting greater awareness of the need to enhance common and aggregative spaces”, explains the artist Bonomi.
