PIEDMONT – A new disturbance it will characterize the entire weekend, the last of April and a long holiday weekend, in Piedmont. The forecast is not the best and we will have to wait until at least the beginning of next week to get a taste of spring again.
As per the forecasts issued by Arpa Piemonte, over the last week new snowfalls they affected all the Piedmontese alpine sectors up to the valley outlets with quantities that near 2000m reached 40-60cm in the southern sectors, 30-50cm in the western ones and 20-30cm in the northern sectors.
The winds accompanied and followed the snowfalls with the formation of frames near the ridges. Thanks to the cool temperatures of the last few days, combined with the sunny skies, the snowpack has undergone rapid consolidation processes.
However, disruption is expected for the weekend intensifying between Saturday night and Sunday morningwill bring new e abundant quantities of snow at an altitude which locally, where accumulations are higher than 50-70cm, could increase the danger level up to 4 Strong above approximately 2500m.
