Compopack chosen among the most innovative and green startups in Emilia-Romagna

Founded by Steve Loweengineer from Faenza, and his colleague from Emilia Marco Verrithe startup from Romagna Compopack Ltd continues its journey in the development of sustainable solutions applied to the world of agri-food, which began in 2020.

We have already talked about this startup during the presentation of Ecopod, the innovative machine that produces portioned coffee in recyclable packs and without packaging. This idea has now earned recognition at a regional level: Compopack is among the seven innovative startups of Ecosister Acceleratorprogram funded by Pnrr for the ecological transition of the economic and social system of the region.

The path undertaken with Ecosister Accelerator will allow: Compopack to receive specialist support for six months, focused on business development and environmental sustainability. The objective is clear: to launch an innovative and ecological product on the market, as Lowe explains: “Ecopod creates capsules with completely organic material and the machinery is currently without a patent so it can be opened to as many people as possible“.

Particularly innovative is the capsule closing methodwhich occurs without the use of heat thanks to the technology of ultrasound. This approach, as Lowe underlines, represents a turning point in the coffee capsule sector, traditionally limited by the problem of unsustainable packaging: “Ours is truly sustainability and we are happy to be supported on this journey“.

With Ecopod, Compopack is at the forefront in the fight against environmental pollution, offering a concrete and revolutionary solution for a greener and more responsible future.
