A 36-year-old entrepreneur was arrested by the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters Savona on charges of group sexual intent against a woman who had been invited to a business dinner. The police carried out a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Savona, on charges of gang sexual violence, aggravated for the man, who has a history with the law.
The investigations, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office, concern events that occurred in May 2023, to the detriment of a woman who, under the pretext of a job offer, had been lured with the excuse of a dinner in the home of the arrested person, owner of a company. The woman had accepted, with the reassurance that there would be other people, but during the evening the arrested man and a friend of hers sexually abused her.
The delicate investigative activities had allowed the police to ascertain and reconstruct what happened and the two had already been referred for aggravated gang sexual violence.
The investigating judge, based on further investigative findings and the risk of repetition of the crime, issued the restrictive measure carried out yesterday.
