SunEr is also in the Arci clubs of Ferrara

SunEr is back, but this time with a different look. After the March edition, the music festival in the Arci clubs of Emilia-Romagna explores new avenues meeting that of cinematography: three screenings at Officina Meca and at the Circolo Arci Bolognesi with films dedicated to Verdena, Cccp and Marlene Kunz.

The Ferrara meetings will be seasoned with the special collaboration of Rumore, a historic Italian rock and alternative music magazine: four journalists from the magazine for the three screenings in the Arci clubs of Ferrara.

The program opens on Monday 29 April, at Officina Meca, with on the scene after seven years of silence. A unique work for its ability to enter into the intimacy of the protagonists, within their families, in the depths of the simple lives they lead and the isolated places where they live, but also capable of telling their life as a rock band. For Rumore, the film will be presented by Francesco Farabegoli.

The exhibition then continues at the Circolo Arci Bolognesi, on Monday 6 May with the film Kissing Gorbachev by Andrea Paco Mariani and Luigi D’Alife presented by Arturo Compagnoni and Marco Pecorari. Film that starts in 1988, in Melpignano, a small village in Salento, where a historic event takes place: for the first time Soviet rock bands perform behind the curtain. In March 1989 some Italian bands, including Cccp – Fedeli alla linea, will perform in the Soviet Union. The incredible story of the tour that managed to create a bridge between two divided worlds, through a language that needs no interpreters: music.

Also at the Circolo Arci Bolognesi, on Tuesday 7 May, it will be the turn of Karma Clima, a real experience in which music and art open gaps in the common perception of fundamental themes such as climate change, the destructive force that is pushing the Earth, animal species and humanity towards a point of no return. A “music factory” which, between art residencies, mobile studios and daily events, leads to the birth of Marlene Kuntz’s latest album and creates something new and unique in terms of extra-musical opportunities and cultural business. This film will be presented by Gianluca Runza.

All films are reserved for Arci members and with free entry with an up to you formula. Each event will start at 9.30pm.

SunER is a project of Arci Emilia Romagna, sponsored by the Emilia Romagna Region and in collaboration with the Arci territorial committees.
