The Half Marathon party: Carlà from Miss Piacenza to first Piacenza in the race

In 2019 was crowned Miss Piacenza, in 2024 she was the first from Piacenza to cross the finish line of the Placentia Half Marathon. After five years, Piazza Cavalli is still the scene of the success of Alessandra Carlà, 24 years old, who has made a profession out of his passion for sport. She graduated in motor sciences, today she is an Indoor cycling instructor and participates in several marathons around Italy. And meanwhile, in 2021, she also received the crown of Miss Emilia. The twenty-seventh edition of the Placentia Half Marathon was a record-breaking edition, with over 1500 participants, an Italian presence (the third place of Daniele Meucci) who had not been on the podium for eleven years and an Italian success (that of Federica Sugamiele) who in the ranking women had been missing since 2011. But, aside from the sporting results, the half marathon in Piacenza was, as always, a day of celebration. Many children crowded the square and the streets of the city, numerous citizens participated in the collateral initiatives, from Walk of the Associationswith a thousand members, at Saviors-saved relay promoted by Progetto Vita alla Pedibus minimarathon for Unicef, with four thousand enrolled through the schools of the province and donations destined for the populations of the Gaza Strip affected by the war. And finally the Pink Marathonan awareness project against violence against women, dedicated to raising funds for the shelter of the Telefono Rosa Anti-Violence Centre.

There is also a promotional stand for the “This is not love” campaign of the State Police against violence against women, to which “The bridge that unites” is dedicated, a pedestrian walkway over 35 meters long and 7 meters high created by Altrad of Piacenza and which allowed all spectators to cross the race route from via Sopramuro to Piazzetta Mercanti, just thirty meters from the arrival portal.
