(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, APRIL 25 – Claudio Ranieri is looking for a replacement for the suspended Luvumbo for Cagliari’s match against Genoa on Monday night at Marassi. The natural solution is that of Oristanio, who has been slowed down in recent weeks by tonsillitis: the under 21 player is now well and could be deployed alongside Shomurodov in attack to take advantage of his speed in counterattacks. From this week the coach can also count on Petagna again, at least on the bench. Pavoletti has also started running again but for the striker from Livorno the call-up has been postponed until at least next week. However, Ranieri could ultimately decide to field a pair of former Genoans up front with Lapadula alongside Shomurodov.
For the moment, no clues about Monday’s lineup from training in Assemini: plenty of space for ball possession, tactics and practice matches to try and try again the anti-Genoa set-up.
