Cold and empty beaches for April 25th

Viareggio – Many cancellations for this long weekend on April 25th in Versilia. Empty beaches but still a good turnout of tourists commuting to Viareggio

On the Versilia coast we would have definitely hoped for the long weekend of April 25th in the weather of recent weeks. The sudden tail end of winter has in fact emptied the beaches which last weekend had begun to fill with the first bathers and left the umbrellas of the bathing establishments closed which are already starting to be set up in view of the summer season which will start next first of May.

But despite temperatures close to those recorded this winter, there was no shortage of tourists in Viareggio on the occasion of this Liberation Day, even if many of them represented daily commuters. In fact, numerous cancellations arrived in accommodation facilities precisely due to the weather conditions.

In the morning, the weekly market in Passeggiata attracted the greatest number of people, with street vendors saying they were satisfied with how business went with much more customers than on any weekday Thursday.

And in the meantime, as far as the weather is concerned, temperatures will continue to be below the seasonal average although not so significantly. Therefore, according to the findings of the Lamma consortium, we can expect a May 1st with temperatures that should return close to the average for the period.
