Nursind triumphs again: new judicial victories on food stamps against the ASL of Viterbo

Viterbo – NurSind once again celebrates a legal victory against the ASL of Viterbo. After the historic sentence no. 1453 of 2021, which had recognized the right to meal vouchers for shift employees whose work exceeds 6 hours, today there are two more successes in the first instance.

The Court of Viterbo issued sentences no. 44/2024 R.Gen. and no. 434/2024 R.Gen., confirming the right of workers to receive meal vouchers for all work shifts: morning, afternoon and night. This complies with the art. 29 of the CCNL of 20 September 2001, supplementary to the CCNL of the health sector of 7 April 1999, and art. 8 of Legislative Decree No. 66/2003.

The NurSind, led in Viterbo by the territorial secretary Alessandro Schillirò, continues to work on this front, preparing new appeals to ensure that all workers receive what they are entitled to without having to resort to judicial proceedings. However, it seems that the ASL management prefers to continue on this path, spending public resources on disputes that could be avoided with adequate respect for the law and national collective bargaining.

The objective of NurSind is to see a remedied situation in which all workers receive the meal vouchers to which they are entitled, both for shift workers and for employees in service in local areas and peripheral hospitals.

After years of silence and baseless company agreements, NurSind is proud to stand alongside the workers, proving that it was right in supporting their demands. Particular thanks are addressed to the Administrative Director, Dr. Di Giovanni, hoping that she can reconsider her position on the topic.

The secretariat of Nursind Viterbo invites all those interested in joining the initiative to contact the territorial secretary directly or a delegate to receive further information.

In conclusion, Nursind continues his fight for workers’ rights, demonstrating that with commitment and determination it is possible to achieve justice and respect for all
