The exhibition inauguratedhobby “Collections and collectors”, organized in Ravenna in the exhibition hall in Vicolo Ariani 4/A by the Dante Alighieri Numismatic Philatelic Club of Ravenna, in collaboration with the Vincenzo Monti Philatelic Club of Alfonsine and with the patronage of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Ravenna.

“The exhibition is a selection of some of the “infinite” possible collections: there are the classic ones characterizing our association (stamps, postcards, postal history, coins and banknotes), but also holy cards, figurines, playing cards, telephone cards and finally , model making and objects of various kinds – they explain from the association – . The panorama is decidedly varied also in terms of the topics covered. In fact, the exhibition itinerary conceived is expressed – transversally with respect to the subdivision by “types” and “classes” of collecting – in a panoply of subjects and themes that range: from history and politics to customs and fashions; from economics to religion; from nature to art, to sport and free time -. Finally, our “review” highlights that to create a collection it is not necessarily necessary to have expensive means or particular scientific skills. What you need instead are simply: curiosity, passion and a pinch of free time. Everything else comes by itself.”

The exhibition will remain open until 5 May 2024 every day from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 4pm to 7pm. Entrance is free.
