Forza Italia nominates the former grillina. Ceci’s daughter second on the list

The surprise on Forza Italia’s list for the administrative elections in the city on 8 and 9 June is the name of Marta Cicolari, 47 years old. She was a historic activist of the 5 Star Movement, with a passion for the environment. In 2013 she was a candidate for the Regional elections (she got 102 votes), the following year for the Municipal elections of Palazzo Frizzoni, and in 2018 for the Senate. She was also on the Teb board of directors for almost three mandates (of which two in M5S quota), from 2015 to December 2023, when she resigned due to incompatibility, because she was hired in the Province, after winning a public competition. «You have been in Forza Italia for several years», explains Stefano Lorenzi, city coordinator of the party.

However, there are no surprises regarding the leaders, who had already been announced: it is Carlo Saffioti, psychiatrist, with three mandates as regional councilor and experience as former provincial secretary of the PDL. In the event of a victory for the centre-right, as the big names in the coalition have announced, he will be Andrea Pezzotta’s deputy mayor. In second position is Giulia Ceci, criminal lawyer and daughter of Gianfranco Ceci, outgoing councillor, former deputy mayor (of Franco Tentorio), who is not running again, after 29 years in the city council and after having long hoped to be chosen as the centre-right candidate for mayor. The fact that his daughter is the second name on the list is a sign of Ceci’s (father) political weight and perhaps also a small moral compensation for the failed candidacy. The third name on the list is that of Stefano Lorenzi, employment consultant.

The rest of the names – 32 in total, of which 16 men and the same number of women – are in alphabetical order. The official presentation will be on May 11th. In addition to Giulia Ceci, there are seven other people who are part of the young people of Forza Italia: Michele Biffi, architect, Ilaria Colombi, who studies economics, Andrea Cosma, administrative employee, Lucrezia Flumini, administrative employee, Martina Locati, who is at last year of high school, Michele Rota, law student and Andrea Santorino, who studies international sciences at university.

In the group there are also two names indicated by Noi Moderati: they are those of Luca Manzoni, employment consultant, and Luisella (Lella) Resi, pensioner.
Also on the list the urologist Oreste Risi, the former city councilor Raimondo D’Avanzo and the former lawyer of Palazzo Frizzoni Vito Gritti. And then Gabriella Benigna, Giuliana Bertocchi, Francesca Bugini, Regilinda (Linda) Cappelli, Daniele Carminati, who is a social pedagogist, Fabrizio Conforti, Mariana Dumitru, violinist and singer, Elisabetta Maio, president of Lis Bergamo, Stefania Marsetti, Manuela Oldoini , Lorella Pievani, Elena Rinaldi, Luigi Rota known as Rotino, the general practitioner and surgeon Hassan Shakr, Angelo Stefanello (known as Gianni) and Antonio Stefanile.
