The future of Calabria passes through the TIS, not the Bridge. On May 18th everyone in the square!

We are talking about social inclusion trainees, over 4 thousand former recipients of exceptional mobility who have been used for several years in various municipalities and public bodies, without however having the dignity of being recognized as workers. Figures who have allowed the public machine to continue to provide services but forced to remain in the limbo of uncertainty and lack of prospects.
“Just” 60 million euros would be enough to give them an initial 18-month contract, which would also represent the possibility of changing status and being recognized for what they are, essential workers. But there is no money!
All this while we are talking about allocating billions of euros for a project that the Ministry of the Environment’s own technicians consider full of gaps and requiring hundreds of additions.
Here we are not faced with the dilemma “is it better to have an egg today or a chicken tomorrow?” but to rejecting the egg for something that, according to a large portion of technicians and experts, is unlikely to ever see the light of day. Can we accept all this?
This is why as the No Bridge movement we will be on May 7th in Catanzaro alongside these workers, because we are not talking about a simple labor dispute but about the vital functioning of our local authorities.
And we invite them to participate in the demonstration on May 18th at Villa San Giovanni, because it will not be a simple initiative against the Strait Bridge but to claim rights, dignity and future for Calabrians and Sicilians. NO Calabria Bridge.>>
