Opta statistics

Lecce is unbeaten in three matches against Monza in Serie A (W1, D2), among the opponents against whom they have never lost in the top division, only against Venezia (four) have they played more matches.

After the 1-1 draw in the first leg last September 17, Lecce and Monza could draw both seasonal matches between Serie A and Serie B for the first time since 1992/93 (in the cadet championship in that case).

Lecce remained unbeaten in 11 of the 13 home games against Monza between Serie A and Serie B (4W, 7N), the last success of the Brianza away against the Salento dates back to 6 December 1998 (1-0 in the cadet championship with goal by Massimo Oddo).

Lecce have won their last two league matches without conceding a goal, the Salento team could achieve three successes in a row in Serie A for the first time since the period between November 2022 and January 2023; while the last time they achieved three consecutive clean sheets in the tournament dates back to the period between February and March 2004 – however, never in their Serie A history have they recorded three wins in a row without conceding a goal.

Since Luca Gotti’s arrival at Lecce (last March 13th) only Lazio (12), Inter and Bologna (11 each) have collected more points than Lecce in Serie A (10 in five matches). Luca Gotti could, in fact, become the first coach to win four of the first six matches in charge of Lecce in the history of Serie A.

Monza have gained just one point in their last four league matches, with Raffaele Palladino at the helm the Brianza have never recorded five matches in a row without a win in Serie A – more generally, the only time dates back to their first six matches in top championship with Giovanni Stroppa as coach (5N, 1P).

On the one hand, Lecce is the team that has gained the most points (15) with goals scored in the last 15 minutes of play in this championship, on the other, Monza has only lost one point due to goals conceded in the last quarter of the game hour of play, only Milan (zero) did better.

Roberto Piccoli has scored five goals in this championship: equaled his record in a single Serie A season (five with Spezia in 2020/21); the 2001 class could score in two matches in a row in the tournament for the first time since May 2023 with the Empoli shirt.

Only Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz (9 out of 9 at home) has scored more goals than Andrea Colpani (8 out of 8 at the U-Power Stadium) among those who have not yet scored any away goals this season in the top five European leagues . Colpani’s last goal away from home in Serie A dates back to 4 June 2023 against Atalanta.

Matteo Pessina scored two goals against Lecce in Serie A, both with the Hellas Verona shirt (including his first goal of the tournament on 1 September 2019 at Via del Mare), only against Sassuolo and Salernitana (both three) the class of ’97 has scored the most goals in the top division.
