LATINA – Today the celebrations of the anniversary of the liberation of Italy will take place in Latina. This year, due to the unusability of the “Falcone Borsellino” Park, the celebratory event, coordinated by the Prefecture in collaboration with the Municipality and the Territorial Commands of the Armed Forces, will take place in Borgo San Michele, at 10.30, and will see the involvement of the military, civil and religious authorities of the province. The program includes the laying of the commemorative wreath at the monument to the fallen, located in Largo Fabiano, and the reading of the messages addressed to citizens by the President of the ANPI, the Mayor Matilde Celentano and the Prefect Maurizio Falco.
But Anpi also celebrates with other events. In Terracina double appointment at 9.45 in Piazza XXIV Maggio in Borgo Hermada and at 10.45 in Largo Iannacci and Piazza Garibaldi with readings and games.
In Minturno in the municipal villa at 10.30 the commemoration of the 19 partisans who fell in the liberation from Nazism is scheduled, while the Gaeta section celebrates the day with a meeting at 11 in the municipal building dedicated to the women of the resistance. In Sezze, at 11.30 at the monument of the martyrs there will be readings, reflections and songs, in Pontinia a procession will leave at 10.30 from the Municipality for a meeting at the Anpi mural. In Fondi we cycle around the city, in Aprilia we meet in Piazza Roma at 9.30am.
