The Granata heart will also beat strong in Palermo

From the Città del Tricolore in Reggio to the Renzo Barbera in Palermo there are 1332 kilometres: yet on Saturday (4.15pm) even in the longest away match of the season the contribution of the Reggiana fans will not be lacking and will be an important one. Thanks to the 337 tickets already purchased (the sale, only on Vivaticket, will close tomorrow at 7pm), the Granata people rise to third place (this season) in terms of number of fans present in the away sector of the Palermo stadium.

In the current Serie B only Catanzaro (with 1048 fans) and Sampdoria (494) have brought a greater number of fans to Palermo than Reggiana. Immediately behind the Granata there is Como with 322, then Bari with 276 and Pisa with 257. The neighbors of Parma and Modena are also behind: the Crociati in the last round were 242, while the Modenese they had brought 211. Followed by Lecco with 208, Cosenza with 200, Cremonese with 125 and Spezia with 106.

Below the hundred we find Venezia with 69, Ternana with 65, Brescia with 59, Sudtirol with 36 and FeralpiSalò with 5.

There is no data yet for Ascoli, who will go to Palermo on May 5th. It is yet another demonstration of the fans’ love for Reggiana, even in the most difficult moment of the season: a match that comes after three defeats in a row (it had never happened before), and without scoring three times in a row (this too is a first time this season). Reggiana is preparing to travel to the fifth largest city in Italy (first there are Rome, Milan, Naples and Turin), as well as the most populous of this Serie B, 636 days after the last time. It was July 31, 2022, in the first round of the Italian Cup (the seasonal debut of the year that led to promotion to Serie B): it ended 3-2 for the rosanero with a hat-trick from the former Brunori, and for Reggiana Rosafio scored and D’Angelo. About a hundred fans from Reggio were present, a considerable number given the date and context.

As for the Square Heads: they will travel by plane, flying Saturday morning from Bergamo, and will return to Lombardy on Saturday night. Same timing for the Vandelli Group, which however will start from Bologna.
