On Sunday evening the Jazz Club hosts a special concert entitled ‘Songs From The Unknown. The Concert’. The students who arrived in Ferrara from all over Europe thanks to the ‘Blended Intensive Program’ project, financed by the Erasmus+ programme, will perform.

The group of students comes from the Taller de Músics Escola Superior d’Estudis Musicals in Barcelona, ​​of Lusíada University of Lisbon, of the Jzzepa Vitola Latvijas Muzikas Akademijā of Riga and of the Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Lipińskiego from Wroclaw.

The Erasmus+ programme in fact, in addition to the now traditional semester abroad as a university study experience in a European community country, it also includes shorter-term intensive exchange projects, in which a group of students, accompanied by a teacher, visit a partner country And carry out an in-depth musical projectwith its final concert, with the aim of getting to know the traditional repertoires of the countries participating in the project and creating original music.

The students of the European institutes arrived in Ferrara on Tuesday 30 April, on the occasion of the International Jazz Day, and in recent days they are practicing together with as many students of the Jazz Department of the Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara to form a mixed formation which on Sunday presents a concert with an unreleased repertoire. This is a unique opportunity to bring together European and high-level musical training institutes allow students to create musicto compare the methods and musical forms learned, and to give rise to new musical and professional synergies.
