Milan would have contacted Roberto De Zerbi, receiving a general availability from the coach: however, there is an obstacle
Among the many names linked to the Milan bench for the post-Pioli period, the, to say the least suggestive, one of Roberto De Zerbi. An Italian coach who managed to establish himself abroad, and who never hid his childhood sympathies for the Rossoneri colours. A perfect profile, from a theoretical point of view, for a club like the Milan which needs to start again from a new project, with new ideas and with very great ambitions. However, there is a huge obstacle that holds back any type of negotiation between the parties.
There is a lot of talk about De Zerbi’s future in Italy, but there is even more talk in England. The technician of Brighton, after last year’s splendid year, this season has experienced first-hand the difficulties of competing at the highest levels without having players up to the task. Also for this reason, in order not to risk burning all the good things done in recent years, he would be seriously thinking about moving on at the end of the season. And he has no shortage of proposals from him.

Milan like De Zerbi: the coach is open to the Rossoneri hypothesis, but there is a problem
The British portal analyzed De Zerbi’s situation CaughtOffSide. According to reports, the coach would have made his club understand that he intended to listen to some new proposals for his future, and would in principle have received a green light from a club that knows what gratitude is.
In addition to the various ones Barcelona, Liverpool And Bayern Monk, Napoli and Milan would thus have approached him to test his availability. And if the Azzurri would have been promptly rejected by the current Brighton manager with the most classic of “No thank you“, holding the Rossoneri back would be a problem of a completely different nature.
In general, Milan, a club to which he has a great affection and which would allow him to play in the Champions League as a protagonist next year, could in fact represent an excellent alternative for De Zerbi. Which however, given the status acquired, at this moment makes economic demands that are not exactly negligible.
The biggest obstacle in the negotiation between the Rossoneri and the coach would purely concern this aspect. Without considering that the coach can still boast alternatives that would have no problem adapting to his demands. Above all the Chelseaa club that at this moment would have put him at the top of the favorites to replace Pochettino, after the sensational flop of this year.
