Like every year, the Automobile Club Arezzo wanted to celebrate Arezzo motorists who have driven for at least 55 years, in compliance with the principles indicated by the Highway Code.

For the year 2024, the award for the oldest driving license went to Elio Brandi, who reached the remarkable milestone of 74 years of driving. Scrolling through the special ranking of pioneers we find, in second and third position respectively, Giuliano Toti with 73 years of driving license and the group formed by Piero Bennati, Giovanni Noli, Emilio Ricci and Corrado Elio Coleschi with 72 years.

In the category dedicated to ladies, the first in the ranking was Dorotea Viviani with 68 years of driving license.

The ceremony was inaugurated by the director Silvia Capacci, the ACI Sport trustee Paolo Volpi and the president Bernardo Mennini, who wanted to underline how: “the Automobile Club carefully deals with motorists of all ages, both when talking about road safety in schools with the Guida che ti gudo project, both by celebrating those who, as in the case of the Pioneers behind the wheel, have driven the car in an impeccable manner for many years and represent an extraordinary example of safe driving for young people and for all of us”.

Subsequently, diplomas were awarded to the over 90 participants in the initiative, concluding with the taking of the usual group photo and a well-deserved final toast.

Particular thanks are due to the sponsor of the evening, the company TCA spa, which supports Aci Arezzo in awareness-raising activities regarding road safety education.
