LECTIO MAGISTRALIS – 26 April 2024, 5.30 pm – Sansepolcro, Dante Theatre
Vittorio Sgarbi will host the first event of the project “Renaissance in the Tiber Valley and Valdichiana”, born from the agreement between the municipalities of Castiglion Fiorentino, Citerna, Monterchi and Sansepolcro and of which the art critic is a supporter. Vittorio Sgarbi will hold his lectio magistralis on Friday April 26th at 5.30pm at the Dante Theater a Sansepolcrohome city of the great maestro Piero della Francesca, among the protagonists of this new project to valorise the artistic, cultural and landscape heritage of the four municipalities between Umbria and Tuscany.
Entrance to the event is free, without reservation obligation.
Piero della Francesca, Bartolomeo della Gatta, Donatello and other great masters they left extraordinary works in an area delimited between the Valdichiana and the Valtiberina, for an itinerary of just over 40 km in an enchanting landscape context, enriched by an extraordinary food and wine offering. The “Renaissance in Valtiberina and Valdichiana” project has the objective of enhance and promote online this itinerary is free and customizable by the visitorbased on your needs and expectations, for an experience among churches and museums, walking along ancient streets and looking out towards unique landscapes.
The project is promoted by the municipalities of Castiglion Fiorentino, Citerna, Monterchi and Sansepolcro, the production is by Maggioli Cultura e Turismo.
