She dies at three months old, her parents accused of killing her
It’s been almost two and a half years since tragic death of a three-month-old baby girl in Garlasco, in the province of Pavia, and the truth regarding the circumstances of the death begins to come to light. Initially, it appeared to be a case of cot death but the investigation led to discovering the shocking reality and now her parents are accused of killing her.
It all started on the morning of November 28, 2021 when an emergency call shook the tranquility of the town of Lomellina. The mother of the newborn requested the intervention of an ambulance to rescue her daughter who was in a critical state, he couldn’t breathe.
Signs of a beating on the little girl’s malnourished body
The little one was rushed to San Matteo in Pavia but, unfortunately, all the doctors’ efforts were in vain and the little girl is died shortly after hospitalization. What shocked the investigators only emerged later, from the autopsy examination.
The first suppositions of a sudden death dissolved when faced with the discovery of clear signs of abuse on the little body fragile baby girl. Fractures, apparently not accidentalAnd signs of physical deterioration they indicated a reality very different from that initially hypothesized.
Request for trial for parents
Judging by her weight, which was well below normal, the newborn would have been neglected for a long time. She was malnourished but the worst is that they would hit her violently over and over again. The accusation is heavy and painful, the parents of the little one were accused of having directly caused the death of their own daughter.
The Prosecutor’s Office has formally trial required for both while the defense made the request to access the abbreviated procedure.
