Six people – five men and one woman – were arrested thanks to a joint operation by the Carabinieri and Polfer: they had set up a real gang dedicated to pickpocketing and robberies in the subway.
A real criminal association, a gang addicted to pickpockets and robberies to the detriment of citizens, but also tourists, in Cavour station of Line 2 of the Naples metrothe one defeated by the carabinieri of the Stella station and by the agents of the Campania Railway Police Department: they are six people were arrested (five men and one woman) accused of criminal conspiracy to commit robberies and thefts with dexterity.
The victims were predominantly elderly and women
The investigative activity, coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor’s Office, made it possible to ascertain that the criminal events were committed, inside the metro station in the heart of Naples, between November 2022 and February 2023. The investigations allowed to identify the six people under investigation, who all had well-defined roles, as well as the characteristics of the designated victims, all subjects considered weak by sex and age.
Therefore, at the end of the investigations, the six suspects were arrested by the Carabinieri and the Polfer agents: three of them were placed in prison, while three others were placed under house arrest.
