There local police of Piacenza put the seals to a inn in the city. This is the VIP hotel in via Cipelli, which was cleared out by the police for reasons for unavailability. The technical checks by the relevant bodies – in particular by the firefighters – led to the identification of some irregularities. Hence, therefore, the provision established by prefecture of Piacenza with the communication to the property, in force “until the legal manager has taken steps to regularize the exercise of the activity both at an administrative level and according to the requirements of the current fire safety regulations”. Yesterday afternoon, Monday 22 April, local police officers carried out the order against the accommodation facility located near via Manfredi.
The provision
The suspension decree – issued by the prefecture – explains that “serious non-compliances have been found due to which the activity cannot be carried out”. In detail, the authorities note that “the emergency and safety lighting is not functional, the compartmentalisation of the two vertical escape routes is not guaranteed, the safety signs must be integrated where lacking”. And again: “No register of checks was produced which certifies that the active protection systems – we read in the prefecture document -, it was not possible to check the functionality of the alarm systems, some emergency exits have the sense of opening towards the interior and others are not equipped with a panic bar, there were no fire service personnel present inside the business”.
