ROSTA / LEGNANO / SAVIGLIANO – The road students of the Rostese Cycling Society were busy in Lombardy in Legnano (Milan) for the 50th Pino Cozzi Grand Prix – 12th Elio Barlocco Memorial – 1st Roberto Brugnoni Memorial. 145 runners at the start on a route of approximately 60 kilometers covered at an average speed of 45 km/h. The two athletes Emanuele Pariotti and Emanuele Savio always remain in the first group and arrive in the top thirty. Of note is Parianotti who attempts a solo escape and Savio who wins the Solbiate Olona Mountain Grand Prix on the first lap

The 1st Challenge Giovanissimi Piemonte 2024 on the road was held on Sunday 21st in Savigliano (Cuneo). Tough and fast race with two straights of around 400 meters which required keeping a very high pace. The route was 1.1 kilometers long and multiple laps were covered depending on the category. Thanks to the results obtained in the races, the Rostese Cycling Society achieved second position in the ranking reserved for clubs.

THE RESULTS IN DETAIL

PG – Luigi Lombardo was present and concluded his tour well.
G1 – Matias Rivas, after an uncertain lap, puts the turbo on and finishes in third place.
G2 – Andrea Ducco finishes fourth with great tenacity.
G3 – Gabriele Parodi gets off to a flying start, but pays for the long distance and the repeated sprints, finishing in ninth place.
G4 – Mattia Ferri pays for the little road training and a super combative group, finishing in thirteenth position.
G5 – In a tactical and fierce race Alessandro Agnusdei proved to be in perfect condition and took second position, followed by Luca Gabba who did not give up and finished fourth. Manuel Bisterzo also put in a super performance (at times leading the group), and finished eighth.
G6 – The premier class with 28 riders at the start, all “energized and competitive”. Emil Guarnieri third in the sprint in the chasing group. Lorenzo Castellani, closed at the last corner in the chasing group, finishes in sixth place while Paolo Cazzadore finishes in ninth position. Rebecca Ducco instead fights with the men’s group and finishes second in the category followed by Giorgia Vottero third in the category. Close behind are Zaira Shah and Elena Lombardo, fourth and fifth respectively in the category.
