Choc on the bus on the Naples-Afragola line, driver beaten and robbed of mobile phone and money

Moments of terror on the bus of the Naples-Afragola line. The driver was attacked by two unidentified people and then robbed of his mobile phone, money and tickets.

Despite the prompt intervention of the police and the hawks, the two managed to escape. The episode occurred around 4pm in Piazza Principe Umberto, in Naples. The ambulance also promptly went to the scene and transported the unfortunate driver to the Fatebenefratelli hospital.

What happened was announced by the president of the EAV Ente Autonomo Volturno, Umberto De Gregorio, who wrote on his Facebook profile: “I immediately phoned Gennaro (the driver, ed.) who was visibly shocked by what had happened to express my personal solidarity and that of the entire company.
The issue of safety on means of transport becomes crucial and cannot only be the responsibility of the transport companies themselves but must become a central issue of public order”.
