A 21-year-old girl who got out of her car to take over driving from a friend was hit and killed by an SUV this morning in Naples. The car that hit her then sped away. The tragedy occurred in Via Cattolica, the main road that connects Cavalleggeri with the Coroglio area in Naples, at dawn on Sunday 5 May. However, the police managed to identify the hit-and-run driver a few hours after the violent impact, thanks to the video surveillance systems. This is a 21-year-old, married with two children, who, after being warned by his parents (traced by the police), decided to hand himself in. The young man finally showed up at the police station in Secondigliano accompanied by his lawyer: transferred to a police station, he was subjected to interrogation. He would have admitted his responsibilities: shortly, according to what we learn, he should be charged with manslaughter aggravated by the failure to provide assistance. Apparently, the SUV with which the young man hit the victim was rented.
