“Seven brothers like seven elms, tall and sturdy like a tree”. This is how the verses begin Gianni Rodari dedicated to the seven Cervi brothers, partisans killed in retaliation in Reggio Emilia in 1943: like them, there were so many men and women who fell in Italy and Emilia-Romagna fighting to free the country from Nazi-fascism. Also there Emilia Romagna region pays homage to the sacrifice of those who fought for peace and democracy, in many cases giving their lives. The components there Junta regional they will be at the events planned throughout the territory, from Piacenza to Rimini, Thursday 25 April, 79th anniversary of the liberation from the Nazi-fascist dictatorship.
With the desire to continue to make memories, to preserve it and pass it on to future generations. Right at Deer Houseto Gattatico (RE), the President of the Region will be present: the ceremony which every year commemorates the barbaric massacre of the seven brothers is scheduled here; the president will also travel to Monte Solein the municipality of Marzabotto (BO), where the councilor for Mountain and Welfare will also be present. The vice president of the Region will instead be at the Rocca Estense Of Lugo (RA) for the laying of wreaths in memory of the fallen partisans.
The regional councilor for Agriculture will participate in the official commemoration in Piazza della Pace in the morning Villa-Minozzo (RE), while the Tourism Councilor will preside with the authorities and representatives ofAnpi at the laying of wreaths on the tombstone of the partisans who fell for the liberation from Nazi-fascism in Piazza del Popolo in Ravenna. In the morning here is also expected the Ride of Liberation – from Ravenna to the Pineta di Classe – along an itinerary that testifies to the actions that contributed to the liberation of the city in 1944. “Constellation April 25th. Bright and shining since 1945” it is the day of music, art and memory that celebrates the Liberation of Carpi (MO); the Region’s greetings will be brought by the Councilor for Culture, who will also visit the exhibition “The Noise of Memory. Art and civil commitment for the 50 years of the Deported Museum of Carpi“.
TO Bologna on the morning of the 25th in Piazza Nettuno there will be a flag-raising ceremony with the military picket of honor and the laying of a wreath at the Shrine of the Fallen Partisans; The Councilor for Health Policies will be present for the Region. The budget councilor, together with the local authorities, will take part in the morning Ferrara, in Cathedral Square, at the official ceremony. The head of the Political Secretariat of the Presidency of the Region will be present in the morning at Bibbiano (RE) where several commemoration processions for the fallen will take place, followed by readings and songs of memory by the middle school students. Finally, yesterday the Councilor for Economic Development celebrated the anniversary of the Liberation during an event organized by the Cyclic Maintenance Workshop, formerly the Large Repair Workshop near the railway complex of Bologna.
