Friday 26 April 2024, at 10.00 am, in the Luigi Meddi Council Room of the municipal headquarters in Piazza Romathe ceremony will be held for the awarding of honorary citizenship to the Brazilian writer Elma Sant’Ana, a scholar of the figure of Menotti Garibaldi and the inspiration for the twinning that links Mostardas and Aprilia, the cities which respectively gave birth and where the leader, son of Giuseppe Garibaldi and Anita.
After the performance of the Italian anthem and the Brazilian anthem, with the voice of Maria Ausilia D’Antona and the awarding of honorary citizenship, granted by resolution of the city council of 18 April 2024, the mayor Lanfranco Principi, the Professor Elma Sant’Ana, the Councilor for Culture and Public Education Elvis Martino, the President of the Committee for the Aprilia-Mostardas twinning Francesco Argondizzo.
Guests will also be entertained by the musical performances of the choir by the Laeta Corda Association and Maestro Loris Zecchin. The ceremony will end at 12.30.
