Excited controversy a A clean sweep (La7) between Marcus Tarquiniusformer director of Future and candidate for the European elections PD in the Centro constituency, and the leader of Action Carlo Calendawho will instead run as the leader of his party in all the constituencies, except in the North-West (where he is running at the bottom of the list anyway).

The crux of vis-à-vis is sending weapons to Ukrainea topic on which Tarquinius confirms his clear position: “The war must absolutely be stopped. Russia is like a 140 kg man who crashed into a 30 kg man. Even simply continuing to burden Ukraine will crush it if the war doesn’t stop.”
Calenda, who repeats several times that he went to Ukraine, rises up by calling Tarquinio a hypocrite: “This is the gigantic hypocrisy of those who use the word ‘peace’ perhaps without ever having been to Ukraine. The first to want peace are the Ukrainians because they have gone volunteers in warbeing attacked by a fascist dictator.”
“Actually there are 300 thousand draft dodgers“, objects Tarquinius.
Calenda accuses Tarquinio of wanting Putin to win due to his position against sending weapons to Kiev: “What you suggest as a brilliant idea to achieve peace, which is against his party, is to disarm the Ukrainians in order to have the Russians in Kiev”.
“You, Calenda, call everyone a hypocrite – replies the journalist – but you, as we know, are the supreme judge. This is the way to build political dialogue and alliances.”

The head of Action changes the subject by reproaching Tarquinio’s critical positions on the law 194: “These are all things that his party opposes.”
“Here it is, it has arrived – comments the former director of Future, while Calenda screams without restraint – What I think about peace is so annoying that you have to crucify me on my beliefs. She never read what I wrote and he doesn’t even know that I think more like his mother“.
“My mother fought for the 194,” replies Calenda.
“And I did a lot with his mother. Be informed and be ashamed”, relaunches Tarquinio.

The clash between the two duelists reaches its peak when Calenda urges Tarquinio in an almost inquisitorial tone: “I want to know if you wrote those things”.
But also the conductor Corrado Formigli he doesn’t agree and the Action leader continues: “Do we want to stay on the topic of war please?”.
Calenda ignores the journalist’s invitation, while Tarquinio comments: “This is the attack I have been suffering for 2 yearsbecause I talk about peace and I say that this war caper began in 2014 with a disguised Russian invasion, which your gentlemen pretended not to see because they had to do business with Russia against the Arab-Muslim countries – he continues – And there was a coup in Kiev. These are all things that I have had told all these years because I was a journalist. And I decided to try something else, because I’m tired of seeing wars that start and never end“.

“And instead you think that we are happy with the war, right?”, replies Calenda.
“We, you are enthusiastic – replies Tarquinio – or at least some of you”.
The Action leader takes it very badly and loses his temper: “Enthusiastic? But how dare you? I was there in Ukraine, shame on you.”
Tarquinio tries to reply but then gives up and turns to the host: “I can not stand him”. Then he adds: “I’m tired of wars”.
“But what does it mean? – shouts Calenda – The Ukrainians are much more tired than her”.
“And that’s what I’m saying – Tarquinio blurts out – But how dare you?”.
“The Ukrainians are fighting and you want to disarm them,” accuses the politician.
“But what does she know? – replies the journalist – How many Ukrainian draft dodgers are there?
“They are volunteers,” replies Calenda who recalls for the umpteenth time having gone to Ukraine.
