LOREO (Rovigo) – Last weekend i Carabinieri of Loreo Station (Rovigo)they arrested a citizen 29 year old of Moroccan origin, homeless in Italy, initially held accountable, in the accusatory hypothesis, of attempted home invasion.

The man, around 7.30 in the morning, was surprised inside a house in via Dossi Vallieri di Loreofrom which the owner had been absent the afternoon of the previous day and where he had entered by breaking the glass and lock of the door with tools stolen from an external warehouse.

The owner of the house, having noticed the break-ins and the presence of bicycles outside, promptly called 112 allowing the immediate intervention of the Carabinieri of the local station who stopped and arrested the criminal after a vain escape attempt.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigorequested validation of the arrest with a precautionary measure and during the subsequent hearing at the Court of Rovigo the man, in light of the defense version provided to the Judge, agreed to a 6-month prison sentence for “aggravated home invasion”.
