Preparations between superstition and weather forecasts

More gray than black and blue. The sky on the 239th Milan derby there is no respite and the forecasts, even for the late evening, are all in agreement: rain. But at San Siro, at least for the Inter fans, it’s as if the sun were shining. The opportunity to transform the derby into a historic evening is too great: in case of victory Inter mathematically wins the championship (right over the Rossoneri now at -14 points) and – above all – the second star on the shirt, reserved for those who win 20 championships. Inter and Milan are tied at 19, which is why tonight, whatever happens, something will happen to remember for a long time. In case of draw or victory for the Rossoneri (Milan play at home) the Nerazzurri party will be postponed, at least until Saturday 27th when they will return to the pitch at San Siro against Torino.

Pioli’s team has little to ask of its season (out of the Champions League, eliminated five days ago by Roma in the Europa League, and second in the league but at a sidereal distance from the Nerazzurri), but a spoilsport victory – at least for the fans – would be one trip not indifferent to Milan Nerazzurri ready to celebrate. Lautaro and co have been warned and Inzaghi’s team will have to fight until the last minute. All in front of one stadium totally sold out with a (relative) Rossoneri majority. Given that many AC Milan season ticket holders preferred it when faced with a possible historical debacle pass your hand and card to some Inter friend.

Thus, superstition abandoned, as the strong advantage dictates, the neroblu fans have already planned the party. In case of victory at the Derby all in Largo Cairoli after the game for a procession to the Cathedral. Then night of party and flags. Tomorrow we repeat (in the afternoon) with open coach and the team celebrating around the city. To ruin the plans there will be the bad weather (and the cold) which certainly don’t invite you to party in the square. But the opportunity is literally “stellar” for the other half of Milan.
