PLAY ARRIVES AT MODENAFIERE, THE FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO GAMING
28 thousand square meters with over 200 exhibitors and as many editorial novelties, 2,500 game tables set up simultaneously, more than 700 events scheduled. Play – Festival del Gioco is the most important Italian event dedicated to “analog” games – board, role-playing, miniatures, live, card games, for enthusiasts as well as families and returns to Modena from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May . “Role, narrative and experience” are the key words of this 15th edition, which falls on the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Role Playing Game. IN CARPI FESTIVAL OF THE PATRON SAINT BERNARDINO FROM SIENA
For the Feast of the Patron Saint San Bernardino of Siena the rich program includes the show We will return again. Mystical Concert for Battiato on May 20th, at 9pm, in the Teatro Comunale in Carpi: the two artists on stage Simone Cristicchi And Bitter they will bring the most intimate and profound repertoire of the Maestro. Music&Sport for Carpi – In memory of Enrico Lovascio it will be held on May 23rd, at 8.30 pm, at the Teatro Comunale Where the rainbow ends 2024 – Words of Peace together with the Orchestra of the A. Pio school, the Voci e Mani Bianche choir of the Daughters of Providence school, the Musi-CARE project of the coop. Nazareno and the Music & Sport Committee for with the extraordinary participation of Luigi Verrini, Marika Benatti and Paolo Bruini. TWO SPECIAL EVENTS FOR THE NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMS AT PALAZZO PIO
Two special initiatives in addition to free entry from 10am to midnight for the Palazzo dei Pio Museums on Saturday 18 May on the occasion of the “European Night of Museums”. The two extra initiatives are the guided tour, at 9.30 pm, to the exhibition on the table of the “Holy Face” by Ugo da Carpi, by reservation and for a maximum of 30 people, and the tactile guided tours for blind and blindfolded visitors, an absolute novelty, organized in five shifts – every hour, starting from 3pm until 7pm – upon reservation and for a maximum of 10 people. THE FLOWERS PROTAGONISTS OF THE THIRD SUNDAY OF MAY IN SOLIERA
On Sunday 19 May the flowers and colors of spring will be the undisputed protagonists of the third date with Sundays in May in Soliera. From 10am to 7pm, Piazza Fratelli Sassi and the historic center will be embellished with a vast exhibition (and sale) of plants and flowers. Via Nenni will host the Gipsy market with craft stands from hobbyists and the creative market
THE MUSICAL SHOW “I WANT TO GO BACK TO THE 90S” AT THE MIRANDOLA FAIR
The 220th edition of the Mirandola Fair is scheduled until May 19th. In this edition, particular attention was paid to young people with moments of sociality such as the free event “I want to go back to the 90s”: the most loved 90s show in Italy will in fact stop in Mirandola on Friday 17 May in Piazza della Costituente for relive together some of the great successes and hits that marked the music scene of the period. As in the last two editions, the presence of the “Scuola in Fiera” project is confirmed, characterized by meetings, workshops (such as learning how to make macaroni al comb) and tastings.
THE SQUARES OF FLAVORS IN CORREGGIO
Saturday 18th (from 3pm to 6pm) and Sunday 19th (from 10am to 6pm) arrives in the historic center of Correggio The squares of flavors. The initiative includes the presence of stands from local wineries, farms and producers of culinary excellence, thus offering a showcase for typical local products. By purchasing the glass chalice, on sale for 5 euros at the info point in Piazza Garibaldi, you will be able to walk through the spaces reserved for producers to be entitled to a taste of each winery participating in the initiative. There are also various collateral initiatives carried out by the subjects involved in the event: from the Nocino Grand Prix to the antiques market, up to the masterclass on local varieties and the vertical one on Lambrusco.
THE EARLY MIDDLE AGES FESTIVAL IN BAGNOLO IN PIANO
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May the Europa Park in Bagnolo in Piano will host the third edition of ‘Baniolum Barbaricum – Festival of the Early Middle Ages and Barbarian Invasions’ with historical re-enactments, shows, exhibitions and show cooking. Children will have a space dedicated to them, the Centum Pueris Artes, which will offer numerous activities. Entrance to the event is free.
SALAMI NIGHTS IN CAMPAGNOLA
The 22nd edition dedicated to the delicious sausage “Le Notti del Salame” will take place in Campagnola Emilia from 17 to 19 May, organized by the association “Il Cicciolo d’Oro” with the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region. We start on the evening of Friday 17th with dinner under the tent and scheduled for 7.00 pm. Here the pork-art of the Cicciolo d’Oro chefs will reign supreme. On the second day, from 10.00 am, a competition between butchers will take place with the “Best Salami of the Year” competition. The event ends on Sunday 19 May with traditional Emilian dishes, flavors and dishes, both for lunch and dinner.
THE JOY OF STREET ARTISTS AT THE GIARDINO SIGURTÀ PARK WITH BUSKERS PARK
On Sunday 19 May the energy and imagination of the street artists will return to the Sigurtà Garden Park: Buskers Park is the most exciting event in the Park’s calendar of events, a green oasis awarded worldwide. Adults and children will have fun with performances that will mark the day in different points of the 600,000 square meters of one of the most visited parks in Europe. In recent weeks you can admire the flowering of thousands of roses in various parts of the Park and on the famous Viale delle Rose, as well as spectacular peonies, yellow, white and purple irises and the first delicate water lilies in the Water Gardens.
