For the 154th anniversary of the Giovanni Bovio Municipal Library of Trani (Tuesday 23 April) the initiatives are doubled. In addition to the biennial traveling exhibition of Book object (desired and promoted by the Biblio-museum Center of the Puglia Region with inauguration scheduled for 5pm), at 6.30pm the Bovio is the scene of the presentation of the new edition of the prestigious book INVITATION TO TRANI by Benedetto Ronchi.

The reprint of the precious work of Benedetto Ronchi (in whose memory the Administration recently affixed a toponymic plaque in the La Pietra area) is the result of painstaking work by the curators who chose to combine the period photos of the book , photos of a modern Trani projected into the future. The text and spirit of a publication are unchanged which is much more than a usual review of the monumental and landscape heritage of the city of Trani, because starting from the historical events of Trani and the splendor of its Cathedral, it leads the reader step by step through the streets and in the squares of the historic center.

In addition to the institutional greetings, Daniela Pellegrino (head of Bovio), Andrea Lovato (Director of the Department of Law of the University of Bari), Piero Meli (photographer) will intervene. The conclusions are entrusted to Francesco Ronchi (lawyer and son of Benedetto Ronchi). Peppino Piacente (publisher) coordinates the meeting.
