But Rome, as we well know, is not just culture and art. It’s music, sport, football with cheering to the nth degree for two teams engaged in an eternal derby full of teasing: Roma and Lazio. The first, yellow and red like the colors of Rome which it boasts of, the second in white and blue, which however claims to have been born first. Rome is traffic, limited traffic zones, metro and construction sites that the Romans have “adopted” with patience and irony, aware of being in a capital that wants to renew itself. It is the “Big Dome” which turns orange at sunset, it is the coming Jubilee, the Colosseum which looks down on everyone from its majesty. Rome is also food, sweets and delicacies from bars and restaurants. It is a tradition of carbonara, cacio e pepe, artichoke alla giudia, cod fillets and suppli’, pinsa, anchovy and endive pie, ice cream, sour cherry and ricotta tart, donuts with Castelli wine, Maritozzo with cream… Best wishes wonderful eternal city.
