Cesena flies to Sassari to visit Torres (Sunday, 4.30 pm) by far the most credible rival for three quarters of the season towards the race for Serie B. “We didn’t expect Torres to be our main rival for the race to Serie B. championship – said Domenico Toscano in the press conference – it was a good challenge and we like challenges. Torres had a wonderful championship but there were matches they weren’t able to win. The difference was made by the mental resistance of the kids which caused this gap to exist.” The Calabrian coach continues to focus on motivation: “For us the championship is not over, we must continue to do what we have done, thinking match after match. The thing that satisfies me most is that the kids are still growing.”
While waiting to define his future, Toscano is enjoying a series of very rewarding weeks: “What he has built is a beautiful thing, living it from the inside is an incredible satisfaction for me. This is a fantastic city but now we need to stay focused on the championship.”
