Earth Day, “Food for profit” is projected at the Itet in Marsala – Itacanotizie.it

On April 22nd, on the occasion of the world earth day, the Animal Law Italia and Ethical Associations in collaboration with the “Giuseppe Garibaldi” Technical, Economic and Technological Institute of Marsala organize the free screening of the documentary Food for profit of the investigative journalist Giulia Innocenzi And Pablo D’Ambrosi.

During the day there will be two screenings, the first, reserved for school students, will be in the morning at 9 am, the second, open to citizens, will be at 5 pm. The director of the G. Garibaldi Institute Loana Giacalone will introduce the debate. Paola Sobbrio for Animal Law Italia and Simona Pecorella for Etilogica will moderate the debate. The screenings will be in the main hall of the Institute’s headquarters in via Fici 9.

Food for Profit is the first documentary that shows the thread that links the meat industry, lobbies and political power. At the center are the billions of euros that Europe allocates to intensive farming that mistreats animals, pollutes the environment and represents a danger for future pandemics. In this investigative documentary with a cinematic approach, Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi guide viewers on an enlightening and shocking journey around Europe where they will confront farmers, multinationals and politicians. With them a team of investigators who worked undercover on farms in the main European countries, revealing the reality behind the excellence of meat and cheese production.
